SCOT - Youth Exchange - Cumnock / Scotland
Scotland - the homeland of William Walace “Braveheart” and Rob Roy and the place where Robert Burns created his poems. This is where the men wear kilts and national delicacy is "haggis" . That's where the use of English, but it is difficult to understand it.
And it is here that held our second exchange with participants from Scotland, Cyprus and Polish . Together we spent a week and it was a great opportunity to learn how to work in a group, get to know other cultures , learn their dances and customs and taste their delicacies.
Patience and understanding are key in such moments. Thanks to interesting workshops , a great intercultural evenings, presenting "Scotish got talents", participation in the field games, exploring Edinburgh many experience was learned from each other. We realized how much we have in common despite the distance between us. But then, that despite the many differences, we can do a lot together.
I hope that established friendships will last a long time and we will have many opportunities to meet on future projects .
I would also like to thank the organizers for the amount of work that they put into the preparation of this project and group leaders and participants, Scotland and Cyprus for all the moments lived together. A huge thanks to Helena and my group for the preparation and fantastic presentation of our Polish great talents and a legend of the Wawel Dragon.
And special thanks to Janice and Lynne that gave me a chance to visit the manufacturer's curling stones and for a moment feel like a Scot wearing traditional Scottish attire.
