2.350 covered kilometers, 4 busy days, 131 participants, 28 workshops. In one word, VIII International Tool Fair in Delphi, Greece, 4.11 - 9.11.2013.
While passing the next steps of a long and exhausting travel I did not know exactly what to expect from this meeting. Only did I hear before, the Tool Fair is amazing and and very useful experience. And so was it. The preparations themselves started much earlier, when after the approval of the participants we could upload the workshops we would like to manage and then we were inscribing to them, creating our own agenda. But even this task was not that easy, as not every workshop's description was relative to the real methodology and the topic. We were working from the early morning until the very evening. Organisers though took care not only about our educational experience but also about its esthetic-historic dimension. It happened due to the active discovery of Delphi and the ancient temple of the oracle and the traditional performance of the Greek troupe. We did not even realise when the day of the final evaluation and the departures came.
For me, this trip played a role of a mirror. The mirror, in which I could look at myself and notice what I already know as a trainer and what I still need to learn. It was also a communicational challenge of speaking three languages simultaneously and exchanging a word with each participant. And finally, it was a huge honour, as a single Polish representative and the youngest participant of the Tool Fair, to work among the best ones and to share with them own experience and views.
