KAYAKMANIA is an outdoor event aimed at enthusiasts of water recreation. It is intended for people actively practicing tourist canoeing as well as for amateurs who have never paddled in a kayak. The aim of KAYAKMANIA is to popularize canoeing in Poland and abroad and to integrate tourists from Poland with the city's inhabitants as an element of building the brand of the City of Bydgoszcz.
Every year, Kayakmania consists of a number of racing and demonstration competitions, accompanying events and a picnic on the Mill Island with many attractions for participants and residents.
And it's all thanks to the organizers.
And we again had the take a task of organizing the ECO zone, which of course was somewhat limited due to the pandemic. But it was a lot of fun anyway. The children designed their own designs from the bottle caps, which we later transferred to the pots with hot glue, and the final result was planting the plant in the pot prepared in this way. On the other hand, a hit among adults was our 3D cardboard maze, which, to the surprise of many, turned out to be quite a challenge.
We also prepared a mini-exhibition of our #DrugieŻycieŚmieci campaign and showed what you can do with the proverbial rubbish. There were many surprises, but also questions that we were happy to answer. It was also a time to talk about how we treat, or litter, our environment.
Looking at people's reactions, I'm sure we inspired a few people after we got home.
Many thanks also go to the City Greenery, thanks to which many inhabitants of Bydgoszcz took home the plants they had planted.
They support us logistically and we can always count on them:
