Caritas of the Bydgoszcz Diocese has for many years been carrying out many activities aimed at supporting the homeless, the poor and the lonely and improving their difficult daily lives. These activities are particularly important in the autumn and winter, when it is darker and colder.
I have great satisfaction that together with the representatives of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz and Adam Joppek and his charges from the "Big Family" Foundation, we can add the proverbial "three pennies".
During a lecture given by commune Adam Kumkowski from the Prevention Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz, homeless and lonely people obtained information about the dangers of falling temperatures in winter and the advantages of having a so-called filled with them "Envelopes of life".
During the meeting, jacket and sleeping bags from the Volcano company from Osielsko were presented, which, together with blankets collected during the "Warm Blanket - Saves Life" campaign organized by the Big Family Foundation, was handed over to the children of the Bethlehem Help Center.
And for us it is another opportunity to tell how important it is to wear glare and be visible after dark.
Let's remember that every homeless person has their own sad story, but regardless of everything, especially in the winter season, they need help.
