GARBAGE SECOND LIFE - cork Christmas tree DIY - Bydgoszcz / Poland

Would you like to have a unique Christmas tree? Or maybe you would like to make someone a unique gift? Do it yourself!

I will show you step by step how to do it and believe me it is not complicated and you do not need any special super tools.

What do we need:

First we need to make a cardboard cone that will help us get the final shape and make our work a lot easier. Then you need to cut the corks into slices. Make sure that they are neither too thick (difficult to stick) nor too thin (they will break). The next step is to glue the slices with hot glue using a cardboard cone. When we are close to the very end, we also use corks to make a star crowning the Christmas tree. Why not earlier? Well, to get a good proportion of the star to the Christmas tree. Time to stick the chain on, but before you stick it do some try-on to get a nice and matching layout. Finally, we glue the cones collected earlier in the forest into the spaces between the chain.

The height of the Christmas tree and its diameter depends on you. Ours is 47cm high and 24cm in diameter. But what you see in the pictures is just an example. You can create your own compositions and variations.

Remember that it can be great fun and integration for the whole family.

And very importantly, you use materials that would probably otherwise end up in the trash. That is why we decided to share our experience from the action GARBAGE SECOND LIFE, which to show that with a little desire you can with the so-called trash to do something really cool and useful, while not littering the environment with further "waste". You can find more inspiration in our album on FB click here.

So, get to work?

Good luck

In our production, we used the company's hot glue and gun of Best-Pol.
