Tired? Yes! Satisfied? Very! This is the shortest way to describe our next visit to the hospitable thresholds of Galeria Gniezno.
Last time, as we were here, we promoted reflections and this time we co-organized the action that we called the GARBAGE SECOND LIFE.
Garbage? Second Life? Exactly ... so much has been said on this subject and we are still throwing them away. Someone will ask: but is it wrong? Of course not. Only if you ever wondered if maybe something else could be done with them? Or maybe, at least some of them, we can give this second life? And we are just trying to show that it is possible.
Many of you will say "but it's just rubbish, nothing can be done with it". But let's take a simple example - a plastic bottle. You can make a piggy bank from it, from a few bottles a puffer for sitting, as we have even more chairs or a couch or even a house. The nuts can be glued, for example, a flower or a butterfly. From corks from wine, you can make, for example, a bowl of fruit and adding a few sticks from the forest of a fawn. With cardboard, you can do, for example, an armchair and with a roll of stretch film, a bookcase or a desk. And that no one would say that it is possible only in theory, we took all the above patterns with us and presented them in the form of a mini exhibition.
But we did not come to Gniezno only for shows, so with the kids all the time we were gluing with bottle caps, previously collected in Galeria Gniezno, flowers, butterflies, hearts. We've really packed a lot of them. Parents watched this and it was a very good moment to tell them about a very important problem related to waste, or segregation. And this was the role of the next participant in this event - the Municipal Guard, whose representatives handed out leaflets and told why segregation of rubbish is so important, what is not and can not be done with waste. They also raised a very important problem in the fight against smog. We cooperated well and if necessary we were complementing each other.
Another support was the director of the Department of Environmental Protection of the Municipal Office in Gniezno, who made the children a very useful presentation, which we throw trash into which containers.
Many people have passed through our positions, who were really surprised by what we showed them. Many of them went away inspired by our ideas and with the conviction that after returning home they will also try their hand at "producing" various things from rubbish.
We also had guests from the Netherlands and Germany and it was an opportunity to compare the rules in the given countries and their implementation by the public.
As usual in production, I used the Best-Pol hot spray gun and glue.
