Carrefour is primarily associated with shopping. But it turns out that there is also a lot of interesting going on here, and not related to shopping.
Are you probably wondering what you can do in such a store apart from shopping? For example, you could see an exhibition of our "products" from the #GarbageSecondLife campaign, or what can be made of what many of us consider to be the proverbial rubbish. Plastic bottles and caps, wine corks, pieces of wood and sticks discarded by the sea, cardboard, pallets, old hangers, cardboard rolls and other similar materials. What can you do with it? Including what we presented on our exhibition, i.e. pictures, an armchair, a desk, a bowl, a candlestick, a key rack. We are really only limited by our imaginations.
But the most important point of our activities was the possibility of "designing" ornament on a recycling flowerpot and planting your own plant. The whole action was aimed mainly for children, but also adults visited our stand. It was also a great opportunity to draw attention to the problems with environmental protection, and above all with its littering and waste segregation.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the companies whose help has helped us to accomplish this unique task. First of all, the management of Carrefour Fordon, which always supports such initiatives and provided us with a place to "work".
Equally big thanks to the company Plast-Mar from Balczewo, which provided us with recycled pots, and to the City Greenery in Bydgoszcz, which donated the plants to us.
And finally, I would like to thank those who made it possible for us to use our unique BENCH-TABLE for the first time, which turned out to be a great success for us and will be used on subsequent such occasions.
