We were invited to the Primary School in Strzelce Górne to conduct eco workshops.
But we didn't want it to be another boring activity for kids. That's why we went there "equipped" with wine corks, a hot glue gun and a bit of various decorations. We took advantage of the fact that Easter is getting closer and we proposed to make our own decorations, specifically Easter bunnies from corks. It was also a great opportunity to remind children of the importance of environmental protection and waste segregation. For several years, we have been running the #GarbageSecondLife campaign and "producing" miscellaneous items from the proverbial rubbish, urging everyone to try their hand at this topic.
The children showed huge imagination and creativity. Many unique and sometimes surprising designs have been created. Best of all, they all had the same corks at the beginning, but the end results were completely different.
It was a great satisfaction for us, looking at the involvement of children and their hand-made small masterpieces. We are glad that some of them have announced that they will continue their work after returning home. And in such moments, the smiles on children's faces are always the greatest reward.
