International Youth Exchange took place 15-23 of July 2009 in Marmande, France. Participating countries were: Italy, Portugal, France and Poland. The project's title: Récréation: jeux crée (récréation: game-creation).
Each group had to prepare, present and teach others their traditional games and art classes characteristic for certain country. It turned out to be a lot more difficult than we thought at the beginning so we approached it really…creative. We invented and produced our own games and also proposed origami (tulips) and drawing posters about our feelings at the exchange with coal as art classes. A great challenge was to prepare the “Polish supper” for the rest of the participants. We had to change our plans and ideas several times because we didn't have the required goods. We also faced some technical difficulties as we had to rasp 20 kg of potatoes with 5x 5 cm grater! Maybe not everything went as we would wish but we did it and what's most important, everyone survived.
Biggest hits were sleeping in the stadium tribunes and the “tak tak shower”!
But the greatest treasure remains the same…the friend we made out there!
