For over a year, Caritas Polska has been appealing to Pope Francis for ecological conversion to parish communities and local communities. Laudato si 'encyclical - care for the common home and praise of creation - are reflected in the diocesan activities of Caritas.
Together with Caritas Polska, five dioceses in 2019, and since 2020 a total of 12 dioceses (check which on the Laudatosi.caritas.pl portal), cares for the natural environment and popularizes issues in the field of integral ecology. School Teams, Parish Teams and Caritas Volunteer Centers have already initiated 48 local ecological projects with their communities, including soap workshops "We make soap, we protect the environment", Ecological Parish Oasis, recycling projects, e.g. "I love, I do not litter", educational initiative "Small steps".
We plan different things, but in the end life sometimes writes its own scripts. And so, by chance, I became the Diocesan Animator of this unique project. Although apparently nothing happens by accident.
My previous, long-term activities related to the promotion of environmental protection, waste segregation and recycling will gain a wider dimension and the opportunity to participate in this project creates definitely greater opportunities for their continuation. The more that the project is supported by a group of experienced people and experts related to environmental issues.
It will also be a great challenge for me, but also new and interesting experiences, so keep your fingers crossed.
