Once again, the Department of Promotion, Sport and Tourism in Bydgoszcz organized "Water Festival" in our city.
And for us, it was another opportunity to organize "" The Great Bottle Race"". And just a small reminder of how is it works.. Each crew received the same amount of materials and the same materials: plastic empty bottles, lids, adhesive tape and stretch. The duty of teams was to design and prepare boat by themselves. The oars were prepared by the organizers and made of spade handles and plastic boards for cutting vegetables. The drive was only human muscle strength.

I really would like to thank all the participants for their active participation and such a big effort with this race. The result of the work is amazing. The bar from year to year is growing up!

As always, for safety of competing teams took care WOPR Bydgoszcz.

Starting teams apart from gifts prepared by the City of Bydgoszcz also received trophies prepared by students of Art Schools named Leon Wyczolkowski in Bydgoszcz and made of ..... waste materials.
I have great satisfaction that the same teams during the design, construction, and the race were having a lot of fun with this challenge. And what is more,the great joy, but also the team spirits and such a big, loudly support from spectators made this race special.
There was also another attraction. All who wish could sail the world's largest boat built by us from 5.454 plastic bottles. We beat the Guinness World Record this way for nearly 2.000 bottles.
We have already started planning another attractions, so actually we are waiting for you next year!!!
